Top 21 Best Small Business Podcasts social imageSince the Pandemic hit, many small business owners are trying to balance work life and their home life. With kids back to school at the kitchen table and my numerous Zoom calls in a day, one of my great escapes is going for a walk and listening to a great podcast. I don’t do it every day. But I didn’t want more exercise equipment so, between cooking dinner and writing another blog post, I walk. I select the podcast I’ll listen to based on how much time I have to take a break. Today I want to encourage you in this beneficial habit by sharing the 21 best small business podcasts that will help you in your entrepreneurial pursuits.

Scaling your small business is a dream of many entrepreneurs, so this one makes my list of best small business podcasts for people who want to be inspired by great examples of scaling.  On “How I Built This,” Guy Raz explores the incredible stories of entrepreneurs who have accomplished the seemingly impossible, from established figures like Patagonia’s Yvon Chouinard to new successes like Betterment’s Jon Stein. Right now, he’s doing a ‘How I Built Resilience’ series, which is highlighting business pivots since the pandemic. Whether you’re interested in expanding your existing business or scaling a startup, you’ll benefit from this podcast.

The Startup Life Podcast with Dominic Lawson is a show for entrepreneurs wanting to grow their business, and career-minded professionals looking to scale the corporate ladder. Get ready to receive major value as host Dominic interviews the best business minds in the world. He’s interviewed Marc Randolph (Co-Founder of Netlfix), Tom Golisano (Founder of Paychex), and many others that have been featured in popular publications, including Entrepreneur, Inc. Magazine, Forbes, Fast Company, and more.

This podcast is hosted by small business expert Barry Moltz. He has founded and ran small businesses with a great deal of success (and some failure) for more than 25 years. The Mindset Mentor

When Rob Dial was 13, his mother introduced him to Tony Robbins, and since then, he had been addicted to self-help, personal growth, and mastering mindset. These short, no BS podcast episodes last around 10-20 minutes – just enough time for you to get a jolt of inspiration. His goal is to inspire and motivate listeners to become the best version of themselves and live a life of passion and purpose.

Sell or Die

sell or die podcast image

Jeffrey Gitomer – author of The Little Red Book of Selling – is one of my favorite sales pros, so Sell or Die easily made my list of best small business podcasts. He teams up with fellow sales trainer and speaker Jennifer Gluckow for this daily podcast. The live Q&A chats are perfect for time-strapped listeners, as they typically go no more than 30 minutes.  The topics vary, although it is almost always relatable to sales.

BizChix

BizChix podcast image

BizChix is a popular podcast for women entrepreneurs. Host Natalie Eckdahl obtained her Master’s in Business Administration and went on to coach high-performing business executives. The $100MBA Podcast

100MBA_Show_ podcast artwork

Many of you will not be surprised that this made my list of best small business podcasts. The $100MBA is a successful, award-winning podcast that has consistently been listed as one of the top podcasts available on iTunes for business training and education. The show is hosted by Omar Zenhom, whose zero-fluff approach provides listeners with “straight-to-the-point,” actionable lessons and insight with the help of top experts in the industry.

The Prof G Show

the prof g podcast image

Every week best-selling author, MBA professor, and entrepreneur Scott Galloway answers questions from you (his listeners) on who’s winning and losing and how you can get ahead in America. It joins my list of best small business podcasts for those who have questions and want to know what other small business owners are struggling with too. Galloway is a clinical professor of Marketing at The NYU Stern School of Business, but surprisingly he is quite anti-higher education. He believes we live in a winner-take-all economy that’s bifurcating into those who are part of the innovation economy and those who aren’t. Other professors, practitioners, and entrepreneurs join him to contribute ideas, alternate opinions, and insights. He offers a straight-no-chaser take on how you can level up your game in the world of business.
