10 Ways to Show Your Customers Love social imageFebruary is the time to show your love. Not just to your spouse and family but also your customers. Just think about it. You wouldn’t exist without your customers! Which is why this is the perfect time to show your customers love.

This month, we encourage you to show your customers just how much you appreciate them and their business. Talk with your team to get ideas. What makes a great customer experience with your business? How do you want your customers to feel when they interact with your brand? These questions will help you focus your efforts on the various ways you can show your customers love.

Are you looking for some ideas to get started? Check out this great list of ten ways to show your customers love.

10 Ways to Show Your Customers Love

This February, choose at least one of the items from this list to show your customers love. And then bookmark this page as a reminder of all the ways you can show your customers love all year round!

1. Evaluate Your Customer Interactions

The first way to show your customers love is to have a clear view of how your customers interact with your business. What is their experience? Is it easy to buy from you? Is your customer service team friendly? How fast do you return calls or messages? Are customers satisfied with the checkout process and your shipping options? What about your return policy? Review every step of the customer’s experience with your business to see how you can show more love.

2. Reward Loyalty

Okay, so maybe you have a pretty solid customer experience happening. Great! So, you know that customers are coming in, and now it is time to think about what you can do to keep them coming back. One idea is to create an irresistible offer for past customers only. It could be a percentage discount on the next purchase, a gift, or something else. Feeling ambitious? Create a loyalty program!

3. Decorate

How inviting is it for customers to enter a freshly decorated, holiday-themed storefront? If you are a brick-and-mortar business, you can show your customers love and give them a reason to stop by simply by decorating. Consider handing out heart-shaped lollipops or Valentine’s cards as they come in. If you decorate for the Christmas season, you know how much excitement it creates in your store. You can do that for Valentine’s Day too!

4. Run a Valentine’s Sale

A sale gives your customers a perfect reason to shop, even if they weren’t planning on it. After all, who can resist a good deal? And perhaps your products or services can be linked to Valentine’s Day in some way. Are there items you sell that could make good gifts? Offer a discount or bundle items together for a great price. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for perfume, lingerie, and jewelry stores. So, whatever you sell, jump in and have fun with it!

5. Send a Hand-Written Note

These days, customers expect personalization, and nothing can build the customer-brand relationship better than a hand-written note. This February, you can show your customers love by saying thank you with a personal, hand-written note. While this idea may not work if you have thousands of customers, it is perfect for businesses with a small and loyal group of clients or those who see specific clients regularly. Skip the sales pitch in the note and focus the content entirely on telling them how much you appreciate them.

6. Get Social

Whether you post on social media regularly or not, this is a great time to post a special message to show your customers love. Use a tool like Canva to make a professionally designed graphic to go with your heartfelt text.

7. Listen Up

What’s true in our personal lives is true for our business relationships, too: sometimes the best way to show that you care is to simply listen. This February, why not ask your customers what they want from your company? How can you better deliver? How can you help them reach their goals? Send a brief survey by email and post about it on social media too. You may even offer an incentive for filling out the survey, such as a promo code or an entry into a drawing.

8. Give Back

You can also show your customers love by supporting the programs and causes that they care about. Consider donating to a charity or cause close to your customers’ hearts. You may even create a promotion on your website where a percentage of their order goes to charity. Not only is this a great way to show your customers love, but it also puts the big heart of your business on display.

9. Host a Customer Appreciation Event

Who doesn’t love a fun event? This year you can host your own and show your customers how much you appreciate their business. Considering that the pandemic is still around, you could host a virtual event instead. Some ideas are an informative webinar, a live Q&A session, an interview with someone in your industry, a panel of experts discussing a hot topic, or a session where you teach your customers how to do something. You can boost the fun of your event by adding giveaways or freebies.

10. Surprise Them

All of the ideas shared above are meant to be marketed loud and proud. But you can also show your customers love quietly and unexpectedly. Just surprise them with something unexpected that you didn’t announce in advance. Perhaps you email an e-gift card for a cup of coffee or add a little bonus inside the box with their latest purchase or surprise them with a discount when they get to the checkout. An unanticipated extra is sure to brighten their day.

Here we have shared ten ways to show your customers love this Valentine’s Day, but it’s important to remember that customer appreciation should be a year-round focus. So, bookmark this article and choose new strategies each month to show your customers love all year round.
